Her name was given to her by Zariah, and it is the only name in which the people of High Fire know her by. It is unknown exactly what type of creature Sammie is. Large crowds seem to be enough to keep her at bay. More recently, she tried to strike when people are alone, like when she targeted Gregory Inke. A large number of people attacked her at this point, and the crowds were enough to scare her away. This was proved to be false when Zariah attempted to scare Sammie away after she attacked Fharon, and she then attacked Zariah as well. She also used this disguise to trick the group about ‘the creature in the woods’, getting them to believe that it could only be scared away and not attacked.
